2012-Present      GOGOAIR ITASCA, IL

                                           NETWORK DEPLOYMENT CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

              Manage the Network Deployment of all new cell site construction projects for GOGO in the US as well as Canada. I manage the A&E firms through site selection, A&E drawings, structural analysis, structural reinforcement design and monitor and mentor the site acquisition team through the leasing and permit process till the site is permit ready and NTP is issued for construction including verifying and documenting all easements for power and Telco. Manage and select general contractors for the bidding process to set pricing with GC’s for new build construction. Manage our build to suit partners in the construction of new rawland sites. Work with site acquisition team in site candidate review process and approvals, including helping resolve site construction obstacles with landlords for problem sites. Manage GC’s and third party inspectors during site construction to insure GOGO sites are built per specifications and quality standards defined by GOGO to industry standards.

 

GOGO job description continued:

Manage site power coordination and process thru meter set and site power up and acceptance. I also review and approve the GC closeouts including making sure all the necessary deliverables and photos are uploaded into Siterra for our client Network Operations. I also manage department processes and procedure documents in order to provide better defined scopes of work for better communications with our GC’s and internal construction team. Manage suppliers and was responsible for ordering all shelters, ZTE base stations, antennas, power plants and Eupen coax materials for site construction while designing custom BOM templates to simplify the ordering of construction materials and engineered all equipment orders while coordinating the logistics for deliveries to vendors and the sites. Resolve site construction problems with GC’s and approve change orders and submitted POR requests for vendor PO’s. I also started the Fiber to cell construction project and transitioned and trained the new hires to take over that project. As team lead I also assisted other team members in resolving both site acquisition and construction problems related to their projects as team lead for the construction department.

                                           WIRELESS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

              Construction manager contractor to Ericsson / AT&T for fiber to cell site projects, Dual banding GSM UMTS projects, LTE scoping and Downtown DAS in building projects related to carrier add projects in Illinois.  Managed subcontractors during site audits and scoping reviews while managing A&E site design and drawing submittals for site acquisition  approvals. Managed projects to construction complete and closeout acceptance with client including approving and managing the processing of PO requests to the client and to our vendors. Manage site acquisition through the NTP process as well as manage contractors work on site. Perform site punch walk visits to insure construction quality and resolve construction roadblocks. Manage document uploads and closeout document reviews to insure all deliverables meet our clients expectations and standards.   I also assisted the project manager create trackers for site audit reviews and financial tracking of project costs. Assisted in training new hires and vendors on the processes and procedures and standards our clients expect on our projects. Interfaced with integration managers and technicians to insure flawless hand off of civil construction projects to the integration teams including answering war room help line calls from both civil contractors and integration techs to document and resolve project roadblocks and track construction completion milestones. Interfaced with financial team to develop project tracker for the entire CM team to show which projects had PO’s and which projects needed to have quotes submitted for PO requests. Managed the review of site audits to engineer and determine scopes of work for LTE sites with Goodman Networks for downtown LTE sites. I have specialized skills in scoping antenna combiner systems upgrades for future combiner system expansions and upgrades for both tower and DAS in building sites and underground train DAS systems to add carriers to the existing site without installing additional antennas.

              I had dual roles at BCI, originally started as the lead for national vendor management team I provided program management of vendor process and procedures, and compliance. I also managed several project managers along with both internal and external resources involved in construction projects in the Midwest region while acting as PM for several remote markets. The projects I was involved in were UMST carrier adds, GSM carrier site decommissioning, DAS in building systems, Generator power hardening projects, LTE projects and Fiber to cell projects. I program managed start up markets and acted as the initial project manager till staffing could find and hire a project manager to take over that market. Program management responsibility for cost budgets from RFP to project completion including profit margins and market budgets for resources and materials management. Track budget and timeline deliverables for both client and upper management reports. Manage Site acquisition team through site selection, A&E, structural review, easement review, zoning and permitting including managing A&E to insure the site drawings will include details needed for construction. Manage structural, structural modification design, Geotechnical and environmental studies as needed for construction approvals. Engineer UMTS, DAS, LTE site projects and drawings for client approval along with zoning and permitting. Generate PO requests for subcontractors and materials for projects while managing and submitting change orders to the clients.               Managed the construction division for Sigma site leasing. Duties included P&L, sales, training and hiring of technicians and tower crews for site construction and client equipment installations. I was involved in all aspects of site selection, landlord negotiations, leasing, zoning and permitting through construction for Sigma sites.
